The call was out on the field, so if you "got rid of replay" he would still be out

Clearly that went above your head. The implication was that if you can’t correct an obviously wrong call then there is no point to the system. Especially when it directly impact the result of the game.

Division all but gone....next up: wildcard. Team just doesn't have the 'it' factor right now and if we're counting on Tallion/Assad/Amaya to be difference makers I just don't see it.

Pat sounded ready to commit seppuku. Before that he was adamant that Berti was safe.

They will end up losing this division by 10+games 😂. If the Reds get in any sort of good run here , things could get really interesting in a non fun kind of way .

Would e liked to see some sort of fire from Counsell after that call. But nope. Just sit on your ass and shake your head and say “we just didn’t score enough” after every effing game. Can’t wait to see what he has to say after losing 8 of their next 11 against better competition

Aside from walking away with the division., the worst part of what the Brewers are doing will only serve to reinforce Ricketts’ view that you don’t need to pay to supplement your roster. I hate everything.

Holy smokes extending Hoyer early may be one of the bigger own goals in Cubs history

it’s kinda funny to think about how they extended him right before the deadline and were like “all right buddy, here’s your extension, now go work that trade magic,” and then he absolutely faceplanted his way into the worst deadline in MLB.

We better start speaking wild card fluently

I know their playoffs odds are really high. It I seen them choke before .

There is no horsefeathers way the call on the field should have been out. He called him out because he thought the tag got him before touching the base. That obviously didn’t happen. But since they couldn’t be sure Berry’s hand stayed in the base they let the call stand. By that logic, had he made the right call based on Berti beating the throw, and they couldn’t be sure if the hand came off the bag or not (they said the call stood, not confirmed) they wouldn’t have changed the call. Just a terrible call.

8-11 in our last 19.  Still not a complete bottoming out but this is an extended poor stretch.  At least we're not the Mets or Yankees.

ESPN is so bad.. berti’s hand was all the way off before his foot touched the bag while being tagged and the broadcast never showed the view again after they showed it initially.

Surprised it only stood.

Nevermind.. wrong hand.. ignore me
