He has asked to, but Counsell said there is no chance of that happening

I guess that's probably the safe thing, just not fun.

Also, not watching the game live but Shota has to be hurt?

Outside of his colour blindness, bone spurs, shin splints, dicky knees, arrythmia, possible dyslexia, and multiple other cognitive and physical ailments, Shota is as healthy as he’s ever been.

The ol’ dicky knees.

Old age is going to be a horsefeathers show for me. Can’t wait.

If there was one fan in all of Chicago defending Bruján he just lost him. 🤣

I may have misinterpreted an inside joke, but on the latest Compound podcast they were laughing about the scenario where the All-Star team ran out of catchers and Vidal Brujan got the call to fill in.  So even his teammates know he is terrible and can't help but laugh about it.

Despite how good Houser' looked tonight I hope the Cubs do not trade for him.  Can't help but think he's got a massive regression coming, let it be in some other team' uniform.

Brujan with a mult-hit game, sure, why not

+ Happ not grounding into another DP, what the horsefeathers is going on here?

Should Cassie not be traded, does it seem realistic he'd be given a shot in LF?  Because, either Happ is still ailing or he's cooked for the rest of this season.  There's a hole in the lineup at 3B and really can't afford another hole in LF.

Just looked at box score to see how they scored 3 runs, good thing McGuire and Brujan played tonight because tge regulars sucked ass

They better not trade him

I know I dissed on Horton tomorrow however, I'll make a prediction - Horton ends the White Sox' offensive spurt and the reality that they're a bad team comes back.

Another awfully pathetic game, a lot of these lately

With some recent terrible pitching performances plus a slumping Tucker, Suzuki and Happ this'll happen.

The Cubs love contact managers. I egit think they prefer barrel-missers over bat-missers.

I'm trying to keep even keel. The division is right there and we know Jed is gonna add several pieces to shore up the team. But this sucks. They've played some really bad baseball lately. Tucker and Seiya have to start mashing again. Theres no reason to panic but it is really annoying right now.

I don't see them doing this.

I'm really tired of this cheap org wasting money on old post-prime players like Turner, Pressly, Berti, Hendricks, Mancini etc that predictably horsefeathers the bed on the Cubs' watch.

Why to do they continue to waste millions on old players?   Spend a little bit of money and get some real talent FFS.

Happ's bat speed is higher than it was in 2023.   I don't see how he's cooked.

Not including tonight 3-18 in his previous 5 games, been, for the most part, awful since the last week of June.  Had a hot streak last week of April to first week of May outside of those three weeks it's been a desert for him.
