Why is Turner still on this roster? Surely there has to be someone better out there

He's the clubhouse clown. See his stunt with the fake nut sack in the dugout tunnel the other night. I mean, that would be a riot at summer camp if you were 12ish years old

Just read that with this series win, the Cubs have won their first 5 series against the NL Central. First time it’s happened since 2016.

Next 28 games are against teams currently over .500, although 12 of those are against teams exactly 1 game over currently

The exact records changed a bit since you posted this but put a different way, 9 of the next 28 games are against teams that are 3 or more games over .500 (Mil, Hou, NYY). The other 19 games are against teams between 0 and 2 games over .500.

Bring them on, if the Cubs can manage that stretch with a record of 16-12 or 17-11, they'll be comfortably ahead in the NL Central.  And, it appears, vs. Seattle, the Cubs will miss Gilbert, Woo and Castillo?  I see Gilbert' scheduled today followed by Woo and Castillo on Wednesday.  Guess, I might be wrong about Gilbert, he'll probably be scheduled for the series finale but, they're definitely missing Woo and Castillo.

Yep, they get Gilbert and Kirby. They also get Peralta and the top rookie prospect who no hit the Cardinals into the 6th. So 4 of the 6 games the rest of this homestand they face great pitching. But I think the wind will be blowing out.

Well, I'm glad he didn't bite the Cardinals, guess, I'd be OK if he had.  Gilbert also just got off the IL, that may be a factor.

Gilbert is still a very good pitcher and he will have one game pitched before facing the Cubs. They do seem to be running into some quality pitchers.

Here's the crazy part of their upcoming schedule,  starting tomorrow and until the end of July, only 13 of next 38 are against a NL team and it's two division teams. Brewere(6) Cardinals (7)
