Marlins are pretty comfortably the worst pitching team in baseball so far this year, so hopefully between that and some warm Wrigley evenings we get guys like Tucker and Hoerner back to where they should be. Conversely, they've got a couple bats that are seemingly kinda legit (Dane Myers .377 wOBA/.396 xwOBA, Kyle Stowers .373 wOBA/.385 xwOBA) and you know Mervis is going to go like 3/14 with 8 Ks and 2 home runs. So if Colin Rea can go back to forgetting he's Colin Rea and we can get Good Ben Brown, that would be nice.

It would be kind of funny if Matt Mervis gets the KB/Rizzo/Schwarber/Baez standing ovation treatment at Wrigley Field and a tribute on the video board.

It'll be nice for a while not to see the best-teams-in-baseball on a daily basis. Take care of the next month winning 3 out of every 5 games or so, and the Cubs will be in a great place.

Shouldn't take many, if any, good prospects for Anderson, 35, MOR guy, under contract for just this season, he's the typical Hoyer target.  Don't get me wrong Cubs need all and any help they can get, just don't think Anderson has that high of a price tag.

Yes, but a 6:40 CDT start time is normal for a Cubs home game, such as this one.
