Found our new closer:

One day he’s going to throw his back out on the mound and it’s not going to be pretty.

Ethan Roberts finding two MPH this winter is fun.  Obviously needs more runway but I'm feeling a lot better about him as a late inning option than I did last year.

My guess is he gets sent down for Wicks. Not because he deserves to be sent down. Because he pitched yesterday and might not be available for a few days. Of course, maybe the Cubs have seen enough to send Pearson down as well and roll with Ethan.

Can’t believe Boyd was still in the game.  Was obvious to anyone watching that LA was squaring him up batter after batter and that he was no longer fooling anyone out there.

I know Boyd did go out in the 6th and did give up a hard contact 3 run homer to Edman. But is this true after 5? I was watching and he looked very good after 5 and only threw 67 pitches. Did anyone really expect Boyd not to pitch the 6th? I do not research batted ball data. So I ask those who do that, were the Dodgers squaring him up thru 5? For that matter, aside from the Edman homer, was he allowing hard contact? I thought be pitched great and had that one ball clobbered.

Regardless of the results that did happen, people would have been screaming had Boyd not come out in the 6th, IMO. 66 pitches of shutout ball after 5 and he is pulled? That isn’t happening.

Tommy Edman has 12 home runs in 52 games as a Dodger

He’s juiced,, don’t know if he’ll get caught but, he’s cheating.
