The podcast I listen to said he wanted to reset the T market again with an updated contract (he is signed through 2026 at $21MM per year. (He got his $50MM signing bonus with the extension)

There was some chatter about his locker room presence being a problem (maybe projecting it if he doesn't get his contract).

They said the value of the picks combined is equivalent to a first round pick, but they won't be able to get a plug in T with what they got back.

no, they likely wont, which is why it doesnt make sense to me. The locker room distraction hardly feels like a reason to trade him for bathwater, even if its lots of bathwater

This sounds very much like the Saints basically giving away CJ Gardner-Johnson to the Eagles a few years ago.

Besides getting whiter at the skill positions?

I don’t think they’re getting better. If anything it’s equal except for money, which is significant between Metcalf and Kupp, but Kupp seems like a bigger risk.

one rumor out here is Allen is looking to sell and thereby trying not to handcuff a buyer with big contracts. Their binding lease with Qwest Field is up and there is palatable distaste for the idea of them leaving. That seems farfetched, where would they move to?

Trying to answer the question "what is seattle doing" --

Athletic podcast said Geno was looking for top tier QB money and Seattle wouldn't do that. DK also got $30MM/year from Pittsburgh and Seattle wouldn't do that either.

They have 75-80% of their previous receiving corps and a slightly cheaper QB who played really well most of last year. Now they have some extra picks and will hopefully fill in their IOL.

Are they better, hard to say that....

Somehow Jeffrey Lurie made an hour long speech advocating for the continued legality of the tush push at the owners meeting. An hour long speech on the tush push? Yikes!

That's good news for us. When it's timed like that, it's like damn you understand for the player but man for anyone with a rooting interest in the team that sucks ass.

But horsefeathers em.

They drafted a couple interior linemen so maybe they had an idea it was possible

The Washington Football Team Commanders will be bringing their “Super Bowl era” uniforms back for their week 9 game and they immediately put their current abomination of a uniform to shame.

Don't tempt us like this, Aaron. Also, can you go into hiding now?

Better question: would any even notice or care if he went into hiding?

This Shemar Stewart saga is fascinating. Usually I'd say it's just posturing between both sides, but I think there's a genuine chance he applies with the NCAA to be able to return to school and if not that, forces a trade before he even steps on the practice field.
