Hurts will get MVP but the Philly defense as a whole is what's winning this game. It took KC 43 minutes just to get past midfield.

Gun to my head I’d take Philly. If they can establish the run they will win.

One of those games.  Philly didn’t do what everyone thought they had to, but still blew KC out anyway.

Nike surprisingly the runaway commercial leader to this point.

I don’t watch the commercials as religiously as I used to but my favorite of the night was the Harrison Ford Jeep spot.

The entire Philly defensive line dominated and with no blitz packages. Just old school, send four and collapse the pocket. It was beautiful to watch.

Wonder if this marks the beginning of the end of the Chiefs' dominance?  In many ways their 2024-2025 season was, for lack of a better word, miraculous, the numbers suggested they weren't a 15-2 team.  The way they won is not sustainable over multiple seasons, besides Mahomes and Kelce their receiver and running backs rooms are meh, defense won't maintain it's effectiveness.  Actually their receiver room reminds me of some of the Bears' receiver rooms.  Just don't see how they can keep up with what they've got.  But, who cares anyway, this Super Bowl crap is over and done with, let's get to free agency and the draft.

Mahomes isn't quite 30 yet. They might take a step back for a few years and then go on another run. Similar to Brady and the Pats hiatus of winning championships

It’s really too bad you can’t give the MVP award to the entire Philadelphia D Line

Yep. That’s what Tampa did to him a few years ago and what the Giants did to Brady.

And what Buffalo can’t seem to do despite efforts to bolster the line.

I think you should never assume any team will be able to make 5 super bowls in 6 years even with perfect team building, the margins are too thin even with the advantages the Chiefs had/have.  But I think they'll probably be fine, their Top 2 WRs entering preseason played a combined 4 games(this along with their schedule explains some of the less impressive statistical output), and next year they'll have Rice(pending suspension), Worthy, and likely a FA they hope will play more than 1 regular season game.  But they'll need to continue to draft well, they drafted a rookie LT with minimal veteran backup, and that rookie not being ready to be an NFL LT right away caught up to them.

i dont get why they did that green screen background for them. Clearly they are in the stadium...why have this strange simulacrum of the French Quarter in New Orleans? Thats not even really like what the French Quarter looks like (not enough trash and drunk people)

If that game didn't put a fine point on "you can't win anything with a crap O-line" I don't know what will

You're not wrong, but is the lesson also build a great defensive line so you don't have to blitz on every third down?  Eagles got pressure with their front 4 all day.

Also, isn't the KC Guard a free agent that some have bandied about going to the Bears?  I was pretty drunk and don't remember any individual plays, but guessing he had a bad day yesterday.
