I think most people use the RosterResource section in FanGraphs. If you're looking for more formal feedback about it, though, feel free to create a poll to see the actual counts of what people pick.

Thanks, Tim

What do you all think will be the very next big Cubs move?

It's almost certainly going to be trading Bellinger.

So you have no idea?????  Excellent response!

Perhaps it’s because you keep asking the same horsefeathers question. Everyone using a resource replies with the same horsefeathers answer. And you keep pretending like you’re yelling into a void where everyone is refusing to respond to you. Just horsefeathers off already.

What do you use?

1. I don't use any particular site... I don't get into the weeds on that stuff, I leave that to the people who dig in on that kind of stuff and post it here, like TT - someone who has been one of the better posters here for many years.

2. The reason for my response is that you have brought this discussion up 3 different times now. You've been told what other people use. I don't get why you keep poking at this topic

Wonder if Hoyer will look at Scherzer if he'll take a 1 yr deal if they don't get Sasaki

I would say he isn’t even an option.

I've seen one source, one time.  Excellent response, with yet another ignorant answer.  I'll assume that you don't have a source.

If I've been told, I didn't see it.  Someone said roster resource, one time.  Is that the univeral source?  I don't know.

The reason I asked is because I'm still trying to figure why my number (Cot's) if almost 15 million less than what posters on here are saying.  So that's why I asked what source you guys are using.  I've never used anything other than Cot's.

How are you still trying to figure this out when it’s been explained to you a dozen times?

He's trying to win the most annoying poster of the week award away from Tom. I could barely get through the Winter Meetings thread where every other post was Thaw reminding us once again the Cubs will never sign Tucker to a long term contract.

It's strange that I can ask what source the guys on here use for payroll, and get a few ignorant responses, but only one guy gave an answer.

What do you use as your payroll source?

I'm not trying to figure anything out.  I'm asking what source you guys use when determining payroll.

So, what source do you use?

If I used one. I'd share it. I rely on the people here that know way more about that horsefeathers than me. I don't care what sources they use. And maybe their source isn't that much different than yours. Maybe they are setting aside trade deadline cash in their calcs. It's not really something to lose sleep over.

I've only used Cot's.  Now I'm looking at Spotrac and RosterResource.   Cot's isn't even close to the other two sites.  I have no idea which is the most accurate one.  The difference is with arb numbers, and pre arb numbers.  This will probably even out after the arb numbers are official, and the roster is set.

Im kinda hoping they keep Bellinger,  i like the look of the lineup with him in it and the depth it gives the roster.

I dont think they plan on adding another position player via trade or FA.

I think outside of maybe another bullpen arm, they are probably just looking at Sasaki  or another SP if they don't get him.

Even if a Bellinger deal can't get done, they could still fit Luzardo+Milner+Chafin and be ok on salary, no? I think I'd be ok with that team and fill out the bench with prospects.

I like this team better with Belli on it than off it. I think it's pretty funny that they might get "stuck" with him because Jed couldn't get anyone to take his salary.
