First time since 2017 that the top-4 seeds went 16-0 in the first round.

Top 25 on the seed list went 22-3, with one of the losses being a Memphis team so overseeded they were the Vegas underdog in their game against Colorado State, and that doesn't include a Gonzaga team everyone thought was heavily underseeded and won by 20.

Wow. Illinois is a 1.5 favorite vs Kentucky.  I know the game is in Milwaukee but I was expecting Kentucky to be favorites of 3 points

Feeling pretty good about 2 Big Ten teams will advancing today, 3 is also a decent possibility.  Wouldn't it be awesome if all 4 advanced knocking out 2 SEC teams in the process?  I'd love it for the Big Ten to dominate the tournament while the media darlings SEC teams flail away.  Or, Pearl and Hurley soon exit, there's a real good chance obnoxious horsefeathers supreme Hurley is done by 3 tomorrow,

I was confused for a few seconds looking at the schedule as I was trying to figure out what the second SEC-Big 10 matchup was besides Michigan-A&M. Then I remembered that UCLA is in the Big 10 now.

Yeah, I often forget Oregon, USC, UCLA and Washington being members of the Big Ten.

Badgers are trashy today.  Biggest surprise for me is how BYU is dominating underneath.

Only casually watching, but BYU is getting too many offensive boards

If Hurley wasn’t such a big dickhead, I might feel a little empathy at his “emotional” post game press conference.  Glad he’s done and gone from this tournament.

Another bad start to the second half, I'd say this game is over, it's just a matter by how much the Illini will lose.  Really irritating, this Kentucky team is not objectively better, the Illini just keep throwing the ball to them.  I don't get it, it's not like Kentucky is some defensive amoeba, overplaying the passing lanes or anything.

I'd like to see Riley stay, he's not ready for the NBA of course, the NBA oftentimes drafts on potential.  Riley will get NIL money, another year could push him into the lottery.  TO machine KJ can go bye-bye, his careless TO's put them in the early hole from which they never recovered.

The carelessness with the ball was really striking.  I don't think he's ready for the NBA either.  He won't be able to be an on ball guard right away if that's not improved.  Really disappointed in the lack of improvement from him throughout the year.  Almost makes me think he was never really fully recovered from the early season injury.  Ivisic was really the guy that made everything go for that team anyway.  Hopefully he's back next year.

That may be a factor, have not really dived into any film from his play in Europe to know if carelessness with the ball is a consistent issue.  If, it is, I'd rather he work on his handles in the NBA developmental league than throw away games for the Illini in a short college season.
