Damn we won in Boston with their whole squad healthy? Was that Ayo on Holiday all night? Jrue's line was brutal.

Zach had a killer game. Vuc is almost shooting 50% from 3. Those 2 have elite efficiency this year and damn near every team should be on them. You really care if your C plays defense if he's putting up a 70% TS? How about an explosive guard who can shoot the lights out but gets lazy and clumsy at times?

Y'all can take those salaries. Let's get some good offers, we need 1s.

Haha thats hilarious.  I'm assuming you are posting this quote because of the ridiculousness of playing the nobody believed in us card while 13-17?

In many ways this is the most fitting Bulls season.  Good enough to lose our 1st round pick this year (assuming it falls outside the top 10) but not good enough to be at all entertaining or have anything that might give fans any hope for the future.

Not only does the organization not care about winning, they’ve made the players feel that way too. Unless it’s “winning” in a great draft year and losing your protected draft pick.

The Next Time The Bulls And Hornets Play Each Other, The Venue Must Be Hell Itself

Quote

The Charlotte Hornets are puke. By win percentage they are one of the three or four worst teams in basketball, but unlike their fellow losers, the Hornets sincerely believe they have some significant part of their core of the future already in place, which is sad enough that if I think about it for very long I will cry. The Chicago Bulls aren't quite puke, but they'd be better off if they were. Instead, they are the very textbook case of NBA mediocrity, a dreary irrelevant also-ran made up of mismatched bozos hoping to play their ways individually into trades to anyplace else, except Charlotte. The six-win Washington Wizards are currently 3–1 against these two bumbling outfits; it's a real dog-food buffet down in the lower half of the Eastern Conference.

Quote

The Bulls and Hornets played for the first time this season back on Dec. 13. It was awful. An abomination! Chicago attempted 51 three-pointers and made 14 of them, the anchor of an attack that posted an offensive rating that night of 103.8, more than a full point worse than the worst offense in the league. The Hornets, who are unimaginably terrible to watch, did worse: eight makes in 46 attempts, and an offensive rating of 90.5. The unfortunate fans who paid to attend this performance were treated to a combined 75 missed three-pointers. The Bulls shot 39.8 percent from the floor and 27.5 percent from the arc and won in regulation by 14 points, when what they deserved was to be shoved into the back of a garbage truck and then pulverized by the compactor.

Quote

Basketball Reference tells me that there have been 19 games ever where both teams shot 30 percent or worse on 40 or more three-point attempts, and the Hornets and Bulls have now played two of them in just over two weeks. The poor suffering fools who witnessed these games unfolding their putrid horrors in real time saw the Bulls and Hornets combine to make 50 total three-pointers and to miss 150 of them.

Quote

The Bulls and Hornets are scheduled to play for a third time on Jan. 17. They say the odds of an asteroid colliding with the arena at the moment of the opening tip are low, but how much lower can they be than the odds of Miles Bridges making a three-pointer?

The Bulls are retiring Derrick Rose's number, which I think is dumb.  He was great for a few years before the injury, but there's no way he was good enough for long enough to justify having his number retired forever.  If he had the same exact career 40 years ago, nobody would be calling for his number to be retired.  This feels more like a PR stunt for a beloved modern player than an actual deserved honor.

Well, yeah, they're a horsefeathers terrible team with basically nothing to celebrate/honor from the last 25 years; of course they're going to be scraping the bottom of the barrel because that's all they have.

I think him being a hometown kid has more to do with it than anything else.  If he was from San Diego there's no way this happens.

Read the Knicks PG Thread and they are have the same problems with Thibs that the Bulls fans had back in the day.

Bulls up by 16 with 2 minutes left on Saturday and Thibs has his starters in after all 5 played 40 mins+ the night before. Then KAT goes down with an injury.

Derrick isn’t “scraping the bottom of the barrel”

If the Bulls are ever going to try to improve, now is the time to trade Lavine and Ball while they still have positive value. They were just swept by the terrible Pelicans, they aren't going anywhere this year, their roster is garbage, so get what you can for the garbage that has net value so you can start over with actual direction and assets.

It would be very much in keeping with this franchise that they end up getting the last play-in spot, get blown out of the water, and then end up with zero picks in what is supposed to be an all-time draft.

The Bulls have already said before the season that they want to try to win this year. Screw the best draft in years!

contract this pointless franchise

The best thing about this season is the move to CHSN.  I can't watch them so I don't and havent really spent much time thinking about them either.
