I love that they got him a standing ovation (and that he deserved it for his performance today) but I wish he could have kept going. Let him go for a CG.

I like that they took him out in a way to get an ovation. The game itself doesn’t matter. Let him got his ovation.

You just know Hoyer gonna return all the regular hitters, and try to extend Bellinger to get him to stay..lol

He'll look to add a Catcher and a guy who can DH .

Everyone's favorite 4+ win shortstop doing it all!

It's wild how this fanbase is so braindead saying you like the best player on your favorite team basically makes you this guy

What happens to Suzuki? He is a top 3-5 DH in baseball, if Bellinger comes back. They aren’t trading him. It makes absolutely no sense to trade a top 15 bat in the game when you are trying to add offense.

Wonder if the first big move we see next week will be Counsell letting go some or most of the coaching staff so he can bring in his guys.

I can see this happening. Not because they suck, but I am sure Counsell would like to add guys he wants.

Yea, but we needed more Patrick Wisdom 🙄

I wonder why all the p-wizzy love of late from Craig?

I'm curious if Patrick has some escalators in his deal and counsell is trying to help him reach more $

Yeah hes been ass this year, he provided solid value last couple of years but he definitely should be non tendered this offseason.

Some of it is a run of matchups that theoretically were in his favor.  The other part though is likely getting some last looks to make sure they do in fact want to cut him this winter.

Hendricks today: 7 1/3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 81 pitches.
Hendricks G6 NLCS: 7 1/3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 88 pitches.

I was at the game in 16’ best game I have ever been too. Better than game 5 of the WS.

I said watch him return everyone, but add a guy who can DH and a catcher.

It can be a LH bat who they can use as a DH and off the bench.

I'm not saying this is 100% what I want or really feel Hoyer will do, just seems like something he would do.

But if he returns everyone Suzuki is still the DH. Maybe they have 9 guys for 8 positions and then add a catcher to go with Amaya for the 9th spot in the line up. But Suzuki would still most likely be the DH more often than not.

Busch, Hoerner,  Swanson, Paredes, Happ, PCA, Bellinger, Suzuki

They can trade Amaya and look for an upgrade for starting Catcher.

Only other spots to add offensive upgrades would be with the bench if there are no other trades made with the regulars.

Why I'm thinking that Hoyer should look to add a power hitting decent LH bat that can be used to DH against some RHers.

But in all reality we are likely to see the same current lineup outside of maybe Amaya, with or without Bellinger, unless trades are made which is unlikely to happen.

We're just going to have to hope that Hoyer puts alot of effort in upgrading the bullpen and it depth and making sure it solid , and having one of the top starting rotation with solid depth.

I would say yes.  He kept these guys around because he didn't know any of his new players, and the coaches did.  This is just my assumption.

My feeling is that they know that he not getting tendered a contract, and CC wants to give Wisdom a late chance to show case himself a bit for a future contract with another team.

Got it. That makes sense. But I am hoping he aims a little higher, even with Bellinger coming back. Grab an everyday player and just rotate him in with the other 8 regulars. Lefty would be best, but as long as he is a bigger bat, I would be fine with a righty as well. Then add a catcher to split time or maybe play 100 games with Amaya playing the rest. Add a starter to slot above Taillon, and a pen arm or two and win 90+ games next season.

something like that off season probably puts their offense in the 8-12 range, the rotation in the 6-10 range, defense top 5, and hopefully the pen in the middle or between 10-15. They would also be a very solid base running team.

Maybe Craig can bring in the entire Brewers organization.

Maybe Isaac is a little banged up, or Craig is playing matchups.  Maybe they want to see if Wizzy can do better with more regular playing time?  Hard to come in and hit when you're only playing once a week.
