While these last few weeks have been fun, whenever the Cubs are out of it and football season starts, they quickly fade into the background of my priorities.  It's like a switch is flipped.  Unfortunately that is happening now.

Forgot the Cubs were playing at 1:20. Glad I didn’t sit thru this. They’re toast, a short tease these last couple of weeks.

Well I mean it isn’t like every game the Cubs play at home on a Friday is at 1:20. So I can see why you would forget.😬

A little confused by what you are saying. Wicks is at home. So are the Yankees better on the road and you are saying he did well against them, especially with the Yankees on the road. Or did you not realize this game was at home for the Cubs?

I try not to have this happen when the Cubs are good, but obviously that hasn't been a problem much lately.
