Aren’t the players glad that they have Willie Harris around to take a lot of the heat away from them.

Where were they hiding López all this time. I like what I saw. No runs given up.

He was in New York, being generally bad for the Mets. But his walk rate is under 4, so maybe we can run some BABIP luck for a little while.

I can see Jed, Carter, and Counsell all getting fired. A new GM will want his own manager.

All three of them are absolutely clowns. No accountability, brains or braun. Clearly the Brewers talents made it easy for the noodle brain when he managed 90 miles north.

Was just thinking. How good would a bullpen like this be:

‪CL - Merryweather‬ (current IL)
‪SU - Leiter Jr‬ (current IL)
‪SU - Brown‬ (current IL)
‪MR - Almonte‬ (current IL)
‪MR - Tyson Miller‬
‪LR - Wesneski‬
LR - Smyly

With other potential options being Palencia (current IL), Alzolay (current IL), Keegan Thompson (current IL) Neris, Hodge, Hendricks (with healthy Wicks replacing him in rotation). Probably not the best one in the league but much much better than what we have now.

I can’t say you are wrong about Hoyer and Hawkins, but Counsel isn’t being fired with 4 more years and $32M owed to him. That is just but happening.!

Happ needs to get out of PCA’s way.

I think PCA should be calling most everyone off on flyballs he can get under comfortably because of his arm.  However, on that play Happ got there first so it's not like he isn't going to play the ball.  PCA needs to learn when to dial down the aggression.

To be fair, since magical May 1st the Cubs lead the MLB in baserunning runs above average according to FanGraphs.  Might have to do with team speed than decisions though.

Make him closer so he can eventually blow one and we can watch him fly off the handle again.  At least that would be entertaining.

This is Jed talking his way out of getting fired and not a shot at you.

$32 million is nothing if they want him gone

Basically the Cubs don’t make winning plays and their opponents do. It feels that oversimplified to me.
