The Cubs are in the fifth position of the MLB draft lottery with an 8.21% chance at the number one overall pick in the 2025 draft.

How close are we to Fun-Bad territory?

For me at least they became fun bad maybe 2 weeks ago.  Watching them make 3 outs on the bases yesterday, including getting picked off to end the 6th and 8th innings in a 1 run game was hilarious.

Looking forward to the drafted player to help the Cubs in 2028 or 2029.

Jed’s fourth season and we’re talking draft position and whether or not Jed’s seat is hot.

I mean, to be fair, there's a thread dedicated to one of these that's five pages long just below this.

The fact that there is actually a debate on the topic is pretty remarkable.

You’d think the first point, as well as a few other things, would kind of eliminate the second.

I think there's a fair reason to question whether or not Hoyer should be fired or not. Part of this simply isn't his fault, though, some of this is. Secondly, I'm not certain there's a clearly better option. I think ultimately he'll get another year, but the way it's going, my confidence in that is waning.

I know Happ is bad but is he worse than Seiya in the OF? About time they put Cody in RF.

I assume that Happ is getting a partial breather by DHing like Counsell has done so often.  Also this is Bellinger's 5th straight defensive start in RF, and in June so far he has more innings in RF (59) than CF (56).

Of the non-middle infield/catching positions, it does kinda seem like the only definitives these days are PCA in center and Busch at first.
