Does Kyle have the worst ERA in baseball? Is there anyone who has thrown comparable innings with this many runs?!

If Skeens is throwing a no-no in the 6th are they going to let him go unit he gets a hit?

Is he on a pitch count?

I doubt it. His pitch count is already > 75.

I mean I don't like Madrigal but what was that strike call?!  Even Skenes was laughing when he got that call.

I've been defending Kyle all year and willing to give him but I think it's time.  If the Cubs didn't have a number of better options available, maybe it would be a tougher call.

Still wonder if they'll try to move him to the pen to see if he can provide any value especially since we're really thin in the pen.

I don't know if there is a specific number they have in mind but they've been very much babying him all year in terms of not letting him go deep into games and/or throwing a lot of pitches.

Yeah, it's been a rough go, and I'm sick of Jones/Skenes already.

In 4 years or so Pittsburgh is going to get a nice haul of prospects for those two.

This has to be the end for Hendricks..

Eventually Hoyer and Counsell are going to have to dump guys who aren't getting it done and start changing up the roster

I agree Kyle needs to be let go. Thank him for a good career but he is done. As for the line up, how many times are you going to make this suggestion? What do you really think they can do? I think the last time you suggested it you had Amaya moving up to 5th and Morel down to 9th. That is a ridiculous idea. Hopefully Hoerner and Swanson come back soon and we see a little more consistency. But they are what they are. An average offense. Moving guys around isn’t going to do anything.

I'm starting to believe, the Cubs might not be very good. Injuries have obviously been a huge issue, but if Steele doesn't find himself soon and if both the pen and Kyle continue to be dumpster fires, then this team is going to hovering around the 80-82 win range.

San Diego is currently in the WC3 spot with a losing record, so 80-82 wins will probably keep them in the race.
