Head: “Take a day off and sleep in, JHBulls. You don’t need to wake up at 4AM to watch every Cubs game. Especially with Paul Skenes pitching. It might not be a good game and it’s going to be freezing.”

JHBulls: “No. No. We are seeing Paul Skenes for the second time in a week.”

* says as it’s 5:20 AM and he’s freezing his arse off *

Guaranteed, kyle will find lights out success with a different franchise.

Not even remotely possible, he's cooked, done.

Great, then hope one of our competitors in the NL Central picks him up and he tanks their season.

I know Counsell doesn't like to chase wins, but they need to get someone up quick. Hendricks's ERA is going to be approaching 12 after this game.

Any good will that Kyle Hendricks has to get free horsefeathers around Chicago after 2016 is disappearing by the start.

Then his nickname will become "12". Because he dozen do nothing

Kyle just has so little room for error due to his arsenal.  It is truly incredible he has had as much success in his career as he has had.  Unless he finds his elite control again, I have little hope for a revival.  That makes me very sad to type.

I know that baserunners have an advantage now in the stolen base department, but I don't know if there is a team in the history of baseball as bad at throwing out attempted basestealers as the Cubs are this year.

At least they're good framers?

This has to be the end for Hendricks..

Eventually Hoyer and Counsell are going to have to dump guys who aren't getting it done and start changing up the roster

Amaya actually seems to be decent at that (eye test for me anyhow), but wow is Gomes bad at that too.
