I have no idea who that is, but if they are actually going to tear it down I'm all for it.

Narrator: "They didn't tear it down."

I hate to say it, because Ayo is easily my favorite player on the team, but I think it might be a wise move to sell extremely high on him as well.  He is on a very team friendly contract and has a lot of value, but I'm not sure they are going to be able to afford him when his current deal is up in 2 years.

I think if the Bulls were planning on tearing it apart they would have gotten one of the 10,000 first round picks the Thunder have and not a guy 1 year away from RFA. They made this trade because they think it makes the team better (along with whatever other plans they have for the offseason). Not a fan of the trade at all but it pretty much signals that they plan on trying to win.

Also one of the things that makes me roll my eyes about this trade is the fact that Giddey is actually a worse 3 point shooter and at less volume than Caruso.  Not the most important consideration but this makes the Bulls a worse 3 Point shooting team for a team that has seemingly tried to avoid the modern NBA style of basketball.

hopefully other offseason moves address this issue but I’m not holding my breath.

It also makes the team worse at defense. Stellar move.

Much much much worse. Caruso made everyone better defensively. I was ok with trading him but was expecting much different in return.

So, are we expecting the Bulls to sit on their hands during the draft and just hope someone falls to them at 11?

not sure there's anyone worth moving up for really... short of a Lavine or Vooch trade, I wouldn't expect anything other than a pick at 11. I think my hope is that Ron Holland falls to 11, he seems like he's got quite the ceiling if he can develop an outside shot.

I like the Buzelis pick. Seems much more skilled than their present bigs, as well as Terry and Phillips

It's not completely terrible, he can shoot a little, unlike Terry and Phillips.

I don't believe it, but it would be nice

Now there's a two word phrase that really never needs to be uttered in a sports context.

I cant tell if the Bulls are actually going to do a full rebuild, or maybe just a rebuild where they tell everyone its a retool (cant remember where Ive heard that before), or think that by making a few moves they can still compete for the playoffs.

Acquiring guys who were benched in their team's most recent playoff runs is certainly a interesting trend for the Bulls.

I don't even have hopes for the Bulls. There is literally not a single function of this franchise that is operating at even an average level.

the bulls suck ass and everything but people are saying that's a good signing. hopefully we can dump at least 2 of vuc/zach/demar and fully tank

I was reading an article earlier that said that the Bulls were willing to attach a 1st rounder to Zach to move him because no one wants anything to do with him.

yeah it's dire, but it only takes one desperate team

Can't bench a guy in the playoffs when you miss the playoffs

It feels pretty clear that AKME are giving up on this 'hover between 6-10' stuff and have decided to rebuild. They probably got spurred into it (no pun intended) by the fact that next year's first-rounder is top-10 protected and otherwise goes to San Antonio because of the DeMar trade.
