Last September, the Cubs lost 5 games where they had an 8th inning or later lead, which was tied for the most in a month for any MLB team over the last 50 years.    They also went 0-4 in extra innings in September.

If the Rangers score here to win its like we picked right back up where we left off.

Yeah, it feel’s eerily similar. I hate it.

There's no reason to believe it will continue, but given how horrible the end of last season was, the last thing I wanted was to be reminded of it again on the first game of the next season lol
