Good point actually. If Merryweather comes in to close the game that will be interesting.  If it’s a 4 run game Ross might be able to explain it away but if it’s a save situation he’s gonna get questions

Alternatively, he's trying to stay away from Alzolay and Merryweather is in line for the 9th against the top of the order(albeit a mediocre offense that has already PH the #1 and #2 hitters)

I mean in some cases sure, but basically since day 1 he's been at least to Fulmer levels in the pecking order if not better, and his pedigree and performance has uh, not quite been to that standard.  At least peripherally.
