I guess starting Cuas with the Reds expecting Greene in the game means they start a lot of left handed bats. If Smyly has any kind of chance he needs to face more left handed bats. Maybe they bring right handed bats off the bench and Ross brings in Wesnecki. The idea is fine, but Smyly sucks.

Whatever it is, I also seem to remember a few of his rare hits being infield hits.  Overall, he has been making a TON of unproductive outs.
