A loss drops the Cubs to .500, which is where most of us thought they'd be, but would still be annoying after a better than expected start.

This is a good spot to brag about being in DC on business on Monday and going to the Cubs-Nats game.  I was sitting in section 135 - literally 4 rows behind the entire Michigan football team!  What are the odds?  Got a picture with Harbaugh, chatted with Denard Robinson, got a huge cheer yelling "horsefeathers ohio" as I walked up the steps and past the team.  Great night!

Reference to how close I was sitting:

First, the Cubs get swept by an okay-ish Marlins team(at least by their W/L record). Then, they drop two against the Nationals. Finally, the site's original domain went kerplunk last night.

But at least Stroman's the starter for tonight. That might lead the Cubs somewhere to a victory.

Oh. I haven't been paying much attention to the Cubs lately due to the Stanley Cup, and I must have read the score wrong.

Did Velasquez run over Ross’ dog or hit on his wife or something?

No, its just that the entirety of the Cubs decisions this year are based off not hurting Hosmer's feelings.

Hosmer shouldn't be part of the sandwich surrounding him, but I'm fine with Wisdom's placement.  He's cooled off since he went supernova the first two weeks and is K'ing about 40% of the time:

Also, Barnhart today against a RHP and Amaya tomorrow afternoon if Gomes needs the IL stint against the LHP seems like the obvious play for the catching situation.

Would love to see the offense get going

Not gonna happen with Hosmer beating the ball into the ground

There's absolutely zero excuse for him being on the roster at this point.
