So the Lions needed a CB having just traded one high pick CB away, were projected to take Gonzalez at 6, traded down to 12, took a RB at 12 that in all likelihood would have been there at 18 and they didn't really need, and then didn't get Gonzalez at 18.

It's so horsefeathering stupid how ponderous the NFL draft has become. I know it's to wring out every last quarter, but they used to do the entire draft on a Saturday afternoon and Sunday Morning.

That on top of pushing it later and later. Most other leagues have the draft just a few weeks after the season ends. The NFL milks everything to death (they'll milk the schedule reveal next).

You know its bad when the sports radio guys are saying "thank god this draft is finally here so we can stop talking about it)

Someone mentioned the Vikings reaction, the Lions was even more obnoxious.  Their GM slapping the table, jumping up because he reached twice for a RB and LB both of whom would still be on the board today?

I think I read early in this thread that Levis had leaked that he was going to be the first pick in the draft, and now he's sitting all alone in the draft room on day 2. How embarrassing. At least until he actually gets drafted, I suppose.
