And the 3 100+ win NL teams won a combined 3 games in the playoffs.

5 teams have won 111+ games in a season. Only the 1998 Yankees won the WS.

I know this is just a small sample fluke because 9 of the 13 teams that won between 107 and 110 games won the WS but it's still kind of crazy.

I can't take anymore of The Cube. What is going on with this game?

Postponed. Playing tomorrow at 3, ALCS to start Wednesday in Houston

I wonder if it's ever happened before that there were playoff games from different rounds on the same day.

per twitter, this is the first time something like that could happen:

Crazy. I thought it happened in the early 2000's but I guess I'm remembering incorrectly. (Edit: I'm thinking of something completely different - the MLB having 2 LCS games going at the same time which happened with Cubs/Marlins and Red Sox/Yankees at least once in 2003). The NBA does this fairly often between the 1st and 2nd rounds

Yeah, now that I know I'll get to root for either Yu or Schwarber, give me Astros/Yanks and hopefully one loses in excruciating fashion in the ALCS and then the other one does in the WS.

wait why didn't they start Bieber on short rest?

During game 4, they said Tito said it wasn't fair to Bieber to put that strain on him because he's young and has many years ahead of him. But that was talking about him pitching in relief on 2 days rest. Supposedly he was available in relief today (3 days rest) but I guess not used because they were down 3-0 in the 1st inning.

I'm so mad we let Schwarber go

I'm not sure he'd be what he is if they didn't. Washington fixed something when he was there.
