Every time I see a game thread with a FOX telecast noted I get excited that I'm actually going to get to watch a game...then I tune in and I get the Rangers or Astros. Sad Panda.

If Almora isn’t gonna play vs a lefty when KB is out and Schwarbs probably is still dealing with that sore knee from the HBP what the hell is he doing on the roster? Call someone up who has a useful tool to deploy. horsefeathers, I’m not even a big fan but get Short up. He might crank some dongs, take a walk and maybe handles lefties well (something we need).

In the month of August, the Cubs bullpen has been worth 0.4 WAR, with positive contributions from Jeffress, Wick, Rea, Tepera, and Sadler. Ryan had the bad outing on August 1st but has been effective otherwise. Kimbrel...well, he hasn't been given an opportunity to blow games of late, so he's in a good spot.
