Me dealing with Nico today:

I know some people feel you have really struggled this year, but then you go and do this..........

And totally redeem yourself!

This was truly hilarious.

Until 24 hours ago I would have 100% believed Nico Hoerner was one of the names on that 'Japanese video game tries to make American-sounding names' image.

He's got quite a memorable name.

i don't give a horsefeathers what his name is. If he can push guys 1st-3rd the way he jumped A-AA-Majors, he can call himself Donald Trump for all I care

Plot Twist: his name is Actually Nico Newyorkdongslicer.

It’s kinda crazy that the Cubs added a hitter who has had one of the most unbelievable months of hitting in history, and lost like 6 games in the standings

When you tweak it just a bit to say, "the Cubs added a hitter who has had one of the most unbelievable months of hitting in history, and only lost like 6 games in the standings," it seems much more reasonable, since they suck.

I mean, he's had the 7th best wOBA in baseball since he was acquired (and was 8th for the month of August). He has a 3.8% BB rate since joining the Cubs. Obviously more than anyone was expecting, but he's barely been the best hitter on the Cubs since we picked him up.

When I say his last name, I say it as Horner. Like Bob Horner. I bet that's not the way it is actually said, therefore I'm not saying in out loud yet. Let me know.

That's how Len said it and he's usually on the ball there. I think you're safe.

or you could mix up a bunch of o's and e's and r and end up Hoorrne which should be on his player's weekend jersey

I know a few people with that spelling of their last names and they pronounce it HERner.
