Dammit. I hate it when I have a nagging suspicion that a player might be slipping into a slump. Rizzo over the last week going in to today's game:

Maybe's Theo's grotesque long term plan is to have inspired a bunch of Cubs players to have massive broods of children that he can try and Marinovich into some kind of creepy team of Stepford-style baseball savants.

Rizzo doesn't half ass his slumps either. If he's going into one, it could be pretty brutal.

I wish this guy pitched more like Adam Lambert.

But Adam Lambert is also good at what he does.

Good relative to the average joe off the street but still not that great relative to his peers is exactly how I'd describe what I want this guy to pitch like.

Sergio had a random month stretch where he was the greatest pitcher in the world at some point in 2005 I think, that might be what you're thinking of

We know his slumps can be BAD, but if that’s as bad as it gets it isn’t that bad
