It is clear that the Cubs, and we its fans, do not deserve good things. And so, what horrifically overated movie could I use as a gif theme for this horrifically overrated baseball team?

Good point, PSH!

Quintana is broken and he'll probably be a slightly-worse-than-league-average inning-eater for the rest of his Cubs career. I suppose that isn't too bad, except we cleared out the rest of our now-pathetic farm system to get him. Joaquin, if you got the chance to meet Q, what would you tell him?

Better answer than I was expecting, crazy person.

Gah, why am I even bothering to pretend to put effort into this? I'm going to bed.

These bullpen numbers are just absurd. 38% HR/FB and 6.3 BB/9 :barf:

Thats somewhat relieving because there's no way those HR/FB numbers continue, on the other hand, a lot of these guys can't throw baseballs

Isn’t Musgrove another one of those MLB pitchers that’s pretty average that the Cubs can’t seem to figure out?

5/30/18 - 7.0IP, 7H, 4BB, 1R, 5K

8/18/18 - 7.0IP, 5H, 0BB, 1R, 7K (I believe this was 1 solo HR per game series)

So yes, so far.

watching a cubs game now kind of feels like it did in 2013-2014 when the results didn't matter, and we just wanted the key hitters to do well so we could have fun cubs baseball again in the future. just a much sadder and more desperate version.

Nah, Musgrove has more than average talent and may end up the Pirates’ best SP on a decent staff

My point wasn’t about what Musgrove might become. It’s the fact that he’s been just so so, maybe a tad better against teams not from Chicago’s north side. Against the Cubs, he’s unhittable.
