Only idiots thought that was a good idea/excuse. Everyone who knows anything knows that passing on Bryce to maybe extend our guys in 2-3 years was horsefeathering dumb.

Believe he did, more or less. Which yeah is a piss poor excuse and everyone should’ve seen through it. I still think KB is mostly going to be fine, but even at that it isn’t a good excuse to pass on Bryce because of ~30 year old FA in 3 years.

 

Yeah, it was a bad reason to not go after Bryce because of potential FAs down the road. We have plenty of money coming off the books. I truly wonder if we're committed to bringing Rizzo back after 2021. Not sure I want to extend him or sign him beyond maybe another 2 years.

Sounds like it’s that Hamate Bone break/injury, which isn’t overly serious but even when he’s back it will still affect him since it’s a wrist thing. Probably should’ve addressed that catcher depth this offseason so Taylor horsefeathering Davis wasn’t next man up in case of a catcher injury.
