Tomorrow's game should have been played today but instead will probably be postponed until Thursday.

As for yesterday's game a 10-0 drubbing of Pittsburgh, the Cubs put up double digits for the 5th time in 10 games and are only (3-2) in those games. The bullpen put up a goose egg over 7 innings after Jon left with a hamstring issue that doesn't seem too serious.

Yesterday was good, and if Yu can pitch a good game, perhaps a long winning streak is on the horizon.

I hate the early season schedule so much. It's friggin' gorgeous out in Chicago today and yet no game.

I will remember this when the Cubs don't get a single off day the second half of the season.

I don’t know they didn’t move this game to today, they allegedly were thinking about it. It’s going to be a lightly attended game anyways tomorrow with this weather.

it's really pointless having the on off on on schedule for the first series that has become the norm. Just have the off day at the end of the series as usual then you have the day to make up any of the 3 games not just 1.

Or, you know, use it to maximize the good weather days during the series with moving games around.

I don't get why people are surprised that didn't happen. That's one of the most logistically difficult things to pull off in events.

TV, fans, workers and just general team concerns have to be addressed. Tomorrow is going to be colder with passing showers, but the forecast is hardly "obvious rainout" territory. And both teams have pitcher issues right now.

The point is Opening Day festivities / tickets. If Game 1 turns into Game 3 and Game 2 becomes Opening Day, you've got issues.

Fair enough and I get that, but this early on I think there should be more flexibility

This just makes me wish Creed was the manager instead of Joe.

Only if Pam is there to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid.

I think the real answer is to find a Pam for Joe.

They had one, but he transferred to the DC branch, and it turns out he actually sucks as a boss.
