He got us a WS and will forever have a special place in my heart.

But Theo has been absolute ass since the end of 2015. The Ricketts suck, but it's hard to blame this on lack of money when you look at the pile of flaccid dicks that Theo has spent the money on.

I can't believe I stayed up to watch these clods, when I am so tired from having to get up early this week to offset the days I am taking off...to see these clods in person no doubt horsefeathers up the Home Opener in miserable weather.

I am truly Clod Prime.

I started watching Shawshank when we went up 3-2. That said, it's still just as horsefeathering annoying even if I didn't see it.

He was absolute ass before that too. Remember, we tanked all those years so that we could have "sustained success."

But at least he made good trades and decent signings the first few years.

Although, giving it more thought, there were a lot more stinker trades than it seemed like at the time.

People are rightfully upset about the bullpen imploding again, but damn...the offense had, what 19? baserunners and only pushed across 4 runs.

Everything would be fine if they could beat the Braves tomorrow and sweep the Brewers.

We have 2 good relievers and one of them just vomited all over himself tonight to blow the game, so yeah, I'm gonna say that won't happen

the booing is going to be ferocious at wrigley next week

Thinking about making a “Production over PotentiaLOL” sign to bring with me to the game in Milwaukee Friday.

Thinking we should just focus on .500 by Memorial Day and maybe we can catch a heater after that.

This is 90’s and early 2000’s bullpen bad. I’m talking Felix Heredia, Jeff Fassero, LaTroy Hawkins, Mel Rojas bad. How the heck are they gonna survive with the soft tossing clowns they have in there???

They have consistently, bizarrely sucked at getting guys home sans dong with this core...except for 2016, when they were firmly middle of the pack.

Does Joe make it to the home opener?

I’d say outside of tonight, which still the bullpen just sucks but could’ve been quicker on the trigger, none of this horsefeathers is on Joe so far.

who cares. the last 2+ seasons have been a consistent descent in every way, and nothing of significance has changed. it's time. they can't stress getting out to a fast start 2 years in a row, have a complete meltdown like this in the first week, and not do anything.

really thought it doesn't even matter. we have like 3 good major league players, no money, and a trashy system. barring some magic by theo, the run looks over for now.

If they want to let him go to “light a fire” or as more of a body of work over the last few years or whatever, fine I guess. But to act like this start is really on Joe I think is a bit disingenuous. On the latter comment about the run being over I’d say I’m gonna wait longer than 5 games in early April to declare such a thing.

nobody is even saying it's on joe. managers just get stale and it's an easy way to shake things up. losing joe maddon is not going to hurt this team, but it could help.

and the "it's only 5 games" kind of makes it sound like they're simply off to a bad start. it's not about the 1-4, it's about the complete and total ineptitude they've shown in every facet of the game, with much of it being the same horsefeathers we've seen before this.
