I'm getting bullish on this team. As much as I dislike Forman, Pax has done a good job with drafts and trades. Parker is going to be gone after this year even though I was all for picking him up for a year because they had to get above the cap floor anyway. Carter is playing pretty good. You have a very nice, young core with Dunn, LaVine, Markkanen, and Carter. Can Carter every turn into a center to get all four of those guys on the court at the same time?

In today’s NBA, Carter can certainly play the 5. There are very few big men I would feel uncomfortable with him guarding, especially as he gains experience and more muscle. I, too, like the future of the team. We can certainly use another 3 and D guy, but those are fairly easy to find mid/late-lottery and in free agency. Hopefully we have a solid enough core that we can be an attractive enough destination for a superstar to want to sign or get traded to us in the next few years. Without that, we are probably capped at being the Toronto Raptors pre-Leonard.

They are a decent core but they need that true superstar to excite me. LaVine is a great scorer but I don’t see him as a “makes his teammates better” kind of Star. Carter and Lauri have star potential but I think their ceiling is short of superstar. I think the best hope for the Bulls is to have a good and exciting enough team where it’s obvious a superstar would make us a contender leading to a superstar trying to force a trade here.

Thibs type stuff by Boylen, but Thibs had more respect.

@WaddleandSilvy Today’s #Bulls events under Jim Boylen reminds me of—When Joakim Noah was a young player, he got kicked out of practice for disrespecting coaching staff. He was suspended 1 gm. Vet players wanted longer penalty. The coach upped suspension. That coach? Jim Boylan. #OnlyTheBulls

Do they know that this coach is a different person?

Yep. Why they spelled both coaches names correctly.

imagine making Fred Hoiberg look competent. what an organization.

The only hope is that firing Fred was a hail Mary effort by Garpax and their asses are on the line.

Wishful thinking. And even if it's true, since the Reinsdorfs are loyal we probably just get to roll the dice on a former Bull anyways instead of going after the best possible replacement regardless of past connections.
