I bet you he pitches 4 strong innings after this one. The only difference between a good Q start and an awful one is how he handles his blowup inning.

I'd love to live in a world where Q knows in advance what inning he's going to suck. If it's early enough Joe could move him to LF or some horsefeathers, if it's late enough he could just take Q out.

Kinda suddenly went to really not feeling so bad seeing the Cubs getting their ass kicked.

Weird.

i need like 5 more wins before i feel that way

Trust me, it has zero to do with how confident I am in them winning the division.

I got a win-win vibe going. Win and I’m happy as my team one. Lose and some annoying to shitty people get to feel some pain. I think this will be how I enjoy sports now

The wind is howling out, it would be nice to barrel up some pitches instead of all these popouts and groundouts.

I don’t want Quintana anywhere near a playoff start: you just don’t know when he’s going to give up a crooked number. At least with Montgomery you get mostly soft contact and not an automatic out at the plate.

well the good thing is we have 4 starters who are always guarantees to give up no less than 1 run

yeah you definitely want to factor in an .094 batting average vs an .082 batting average when you're picking your playoff game starting pitchers.
