most subdued walkoff celebration i've seen them have

IT STILL COUNTS THE SAME DUMMIES

I was just thinking it must be different knowing you have at least 9 more innings to play today.

Arbitrary end date stuff: Almora since July 1st is hitting .234 / .286 / .306 with a RC+ of 61

Almost unfathomably bad

It’s almost like he sucks and his hot start was incredibly unsustainable and not indicative of his real talent.

I don’t like to wish injury on a guy, but hopefully he just turns an ankle or pulls a hamstring and is done for the rest of the year so Joe can’t play him anymore. Throw Bryant in RF and Heyward in CF.

Hell yeah, we won the Thor and deGrom games.

should we be worried their starter today has an ERA north of 6?

No but we should be a little worried that our starter has an ERA approaching 5...in Triple A

I think he's the guy of the last few years, and cumulatively what he is this year. A .700-.750 OPS guy with plus defense, which has value but isn't like, a star level player. He's just clearly so [expletive] lost right now that he needs to sit for a while and try to get *it* back, because playing through it isn't working for him.

His defense isn’t even that good and a player with his profile of a .700 OPS is pretty useless. His K rate is north of 20% vs RHP, he isn’t even contacty like so many think.

5-0 in games started by Kershaw, Scherzer, DeGrom x2, And Syndergaard

Awesome because we have Foltynewicz tomorrow and potentially Scherzer and Strasburg next week

Posted
But what are we going to do against all the good pitchers in October

No, seriously. None of those guys are going to be playing in October.

Darn, I guess we'll just have to face....worse pitchers.

And the cardinals and Brewers avoid facing both in their series.

The VBs or Cardinals face Scherzer this weekend or next week. VBs are in DC for the weekend and Cardinals go there for the next series starting Monday. Scherzer could go on regular rest Sunday vs the VBs or extra rest Monday vs the Cardinals.

Also the Cardinals have, after our win today, probably like a 5% chance of winning the division, so who cares. Lol the Brewers.
