Doubt he would’ve fielded it, but even if he does, probably doesn’t get deGrom anyway. Run still scores most likely.

 

And things sort of evened out the next inning with a triple(HR most days) followed by two rocket line outs. And then a low strike three call.

Damn. I work 3rd shift. I usually wake up at 2:30 and catch up by fast forwarding. Now I’ll have to deal with extra drama instead of just wondering if we allowed a run or runs in the first again.

The Goldbergs were coming on next, so JD said something about if they don’t suspend it soon we should just split screen with Jeff Garlin’s whitey tighties. JD was humming to the music in the stadium. Len was obviously kind of peeved the game hadn’t been officially suspended yet and was declaring he was packing up. This was maybe in the span of 30-45 seconds. Was hoping for more, but then they actually went live.

 

It was actually kind of cool on my feed last night. They just showed the stadium live throughout the rain delay.

Hopefully Cishek can come back from that 2-0 count to Conforto. Not that any of them are premier hitters but Conforto, Frazier and Bruce will probably all sell out to go yard.

I've gotten that a couple times over the last few weeks, too. It'll cut to the MLB.TV commercial break screen, but then come back to a wide shot of the field, and you can hear random behind the scenes chatter from the production staff.
