Dude hits a walkoff grand slam and can't even get the next start. I'm pretty sure the Reign of Terror was started for less egregious outrages.

To be fair to Seal Boy, he is currently slashing .333 .448 .375 .823 in the second half. Granted, that's only 30 PA, but....I dunno; I'm trying to find something here, people. Joe confounds me.

Like, does Chacin have an amazing high heater or something? SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY BOTE IS DRYDOCKED.

Chacin has very big righty/lefty splits. So you want to stack the lineup with lefties, but I hate having Tommy at 3rd.

You guys are way too hard on Maddon.

the reality is that he's not terrible relative to other managers, he's just disappointingly close to them. i don't want him gone or anything, he just annoys me way more often than i thought he would.

He manages a season well but I feel that every team is recognizing the importance of rest more and more. The way he seems to emphasize fun and stuff is good. His in game stuff is weird and seems to be getting weirder. He’s fine as a manager but if he wasn’t our manager I’m not sure it’s a huge loss (not that mangers mean all THAT much anyways)

Has any reporter asked him about moving Rizzo out of the lead off spot. Yes it turned his season around (coincidence or not), but it hasn't done anything positive for the offense as a whole.

I still think he's far an away the best at being a "CEO" and creating a productive culture/work/clubhouse environment and the day to day minutia of a long season. There's definitely more managers in the league that are far worse than him than are at the same level as him overall. The lineup/bullpen stuff sucks at times, but every team bitches about the manager with that (not that it's an excuse because there are times it's inexcusable) but I just think there's no perfect manager. We also don't know if it's all Joe with the lineups and bullpen stuff or if he's getting it from the FO/other coaches, we also don't know the day to day stuff on if guys have a little injury or are gassed or whatever that on the surface an off day or use of a guy doesn't make sense but it makes perfect sense with what he/they know.
