The umpire reasoned that there is no way Rizzo actually made a heads up baserunning play so time had to have been called. Edited by UMFan83

Far be it from me to complain about anything on that play, but I didn't see anyone call time. Too bad Rizzo doesn't get rewarded for a rare smart baserunning play.

wow that was an awful call for strike 1 to Happ. That could dramatically change the game because it looked for sure like that AB was gonna end in a walk if he had to throw 3 straight strikes. Edited by UMFan83

It always bugs me when a pitch like that gets called a strike because it was never a strike. At least if it curves across the plate and ends up a couple inches off, it was in the zone at some point. That pitch never was.

Umps probably cost us at least 2 runs with the Rizzo gaffe and that absurd strike 1.

The CB/Angel Hernandez crew is always good for horsefeathering up at least 1 game beyond recognition.

This bot thinks that strike 3 should have been ball 4 (although the picture looks like a strike to me)

The square is the rule book strike zone, but they use the actual calls made to determine whether a ball/strike call is 'wrong'.

The Rizzo gaffe never happens if they make the LaStella call correctly, to be fair.

Maybe don't commit 3 outs on 4 pitches

Someone needs to sit Albert Almora down and be like, listen buddy, if you're gonna suck, at least take a few pitches to do it

I can't quite put my finger on whats been ailing the offense lately. I guess it seems like we're not getting a lot of hard contact and even a lot of our hits have been soft contact. As much as we joke about Chili Dongs, this team is comprised of dongsmiths and its disappointing so see us struggle to hit for power.
