The decision to take Montgomery out after 6 innings looks especially weird now knowing the state of our bullpen

 

They probably could have gotten away with another inning but he still isn’t completely stretched out and he has another start in 5 days.

They probably could have gotten away with another inning but he still isn’t completely stretched out and he has another start in 5 days.

 

He was only pulled because his spot led off the 7th, I’m pretty sure. He was at 75 pitches, he could’ve gone another or at least started it.

Apparently no one is warming in the pen so Farrell will possibly get a 6th inning to finish it off.
