So everyone besides Wilson, Farrell, and Morrow must have been totally unavailable. Joe didn't want to get stuck using all three in a tie game. Frustrating to watch unfold but understandable in a regular season game.

 

Still should've made a roster move and/or let Montgomery pitch longer though.

 

Anyone they would've sent down(Mazzoni and Farrell) were available. The only other option was Rosario and they don't want to lose him for 10 days or whatever the amount is before you can recall without someone being DL'd.

I mean it makes sense. People are complaining about pulling Montgomery early but they tried to pinch hit and grab a lead and Montgomery isn't stretched out to go much more than 80 pitches right now. In the end, it worked out and now they have a nearly full bullpen tomorrow.
