"about" 31 pitches seems oddly specific almost like you counted exactly to 31 horsefeathering pitches, Carrie.

I thought the same thing. Margin of error: 10 pitches. That one was awful. only counts as .75 pitches.

 

If you’re not sure you counted right, “about 30” is pretty safe and doesn’t sound stupid.

Actually, Darvish threw 30 pitches and Clayton Kershaw threw 1.

 

This is the joke I wanted to make but couldn’t figure out.

Probably because he is a good dude who has more money than he will ever need and knows a lot of these guys have to grind for years making little to no money.

Yeah, I know. I get it, but it's weird to pick up the tab for the opposing team. Never heard of anyone doing that before.

 

He does seem like a good dude. I'm sure all the players on both teams really appreciate it.
