I just thought of something. The Cardinals fans probably aren't real happy with the recent WS winners.

2012 Giants (beat Cardinals)

2013 Red Sox (beat Cardinals)

2014 Giants (beat Cardinals)

2015 Royals (Missouri)

2016 Cubs (duh)

2017 Astros (old division rivals)

This year will either be Red Sox or Astros again, the Dodgers (they had all that postseason BS with), or the Brewers (another big rival).

obviously CC can afford the upcoming fine, but he could probably set up a gofundme to raise money to pay off the fine and have it filled up within hours, considering that pretty much every major league baseball fan thinks that angel hernandez is terrible.

2003 - Marlins

2004 - Red Sox

2005 - White Sox

2006- horsefeathering 83 horsefeathering win horsefeathering Cardinals

2007 - Red Sox AGAIN

I was pretty convinced that some kind of higher power did actually hate the Cubs. It felt like weird sweet relief when the Phillies won in 2008.

Seriously this was the worst. First coming so close and watching the team that beat us in heartbreaking fashion win it, then watching the only 2 other teams within 40 years of our WS drought winning it all including our "rivals" in the city (watching brand new Sox fans take over), and then our arch rivals win with the shittiest WS season ever, followed by 2 straight years of getting swept out of the playoffs and then a 7 year rebuild.

Thank God that is over with and now the most pissed we can get is when we have the best record in the league (through 162 games) and don't play in the NLDS.

Yes, these were my post-college years in which I lived in Wrigleyville/Lincoln Park around many of my college friends who were all Cardinal and White Sox fans. Dark days.

My freshman year at Mizzou was 2006. My roommate was a White Sox fan - one of the few real ones. It’s a good thing he is genuinely one of the nicest people I know and didn’t feel the need to rub it in too much. But all the other jackwagons on my floor were Cardinals fans, of course.

The Brewers are starting Gio in game one, I’m sure the guy who walks the world vs the team with the highest BB rate will somehow go 5-6 shutout tomorrow because Brewers. Miley starts game 2. Edited by Cubswin11

Man, Gio in game 1 and Miley in game 2. How did these losers reach the NLCS. The Dodgers are going to destroy them.

They’re destined to just keep winning despite it making no sense. No reason to think otherwise.

Starting a guy with the 4th worst BB%, 20th worst FIP, and 10th worst xFIP in MLB of qualified starters this year will somehow work out for them tomorrow same with starting Wade Miley Saturday who was nearly out of baseball going in to the year.

I think they're going down this series. My hope is Dodgers vs. Red Sox in the WS with the Red Sox prevailing.

They might need to do something about David Price if they want to get there. Move him to the bullpen or limit how far he goes in starts. Dude looks bad right now.

But, but, they're soo good, Gio and Miley are solid starters, luck, etc. is a non-factor.

Eh; so much of is timing. By the time the postseason rolled around, the Cubs and Rockies were trash playoff teams.

The Brewers got hot in September, the Cubs couldn't hit and they played a hot garbage Rockies team in the NLDS. Dodgers in 5. I think the ALCS goes 7. I don't know who will win but they will take out the Dodgers fairly easily.
