Is Yelich being fed signs at Miller or something? His H/R splits are astonishing.

13 HR, 1.811 OPS at home

1 HR, .766 on road

I’ll take a bow. From April 30th.

Maybe he learned people were on to him? Or maybe he chickened out and got scared?

Or maybe he just had a good 10-12 games at home?

Think what you want, but the disparate K and BB splits he he had in April were fishy as hell. Couple that with Yu’s recent statement and Yelich’s “thou protest too much” tweet and I’m of the belief that Yelich was being fed signs at some points in the season.

Home: 76k’s, 15 BB’s

Road: 80k’s, 13 BB’s

And Yelich ended up with a 44-36/55-63 split along those lines.

Have you ever considered officially changing your name to “Devils Advocate”

That’s a large gap, especially being the first year and how it affects future years

If he wins that I think the Over/Under on number of seasons Hader has left in Milwaukee is 1.5

Yeah I think they move him if he wins by next offseason

Makes a little more sense if they like Garcia in right but won't play him full time and don't want Yelich flipping back and forth from LF & RF.

78 dimension chess champ David Stearns made a really good/shrewd move with the Freddy Peralta extension. Peralta's got alot going for him - healthy, blitzed the minors as a SP and reached the majors very young, still very young at 24 with lots of experience on a division winner including dominant playoff outings, high spin four seam, also at 24 is at the age where he might take a SP job and do really well. I like the way he throws the baseball and that definitely matters

It’s a contract that’s not going to kill the team but I don’t see it in him. He throws basically only FBs and they’re dick shots more times than not with his poor command/control (23HRs in ~150 career innings). The velo swings wildly, even in the middle of outings, he’ll be mid-high 90s at times then barely 90 other times. Career 5+ ERA and 4+FIP/xFIP as a starter. I see more reliever than any sort of valuable starter in him.
