I'd say this series is going 7 but I think Verlander is going to throw a gem tomorrow.

What a series...everyone said our series was great and in many ways it was but in that one you had 2 good games, 1 all time classic and 4 games that weren't particularly competitive. This one has had 2 all time classics and 2 other good games and it's only 5 games so far.

Yeah the juiced ball and no pitching does take some of the fun away but overall this has been an amazing series.

Looks like I picked a bad game to pass out at 8pm

I turned it off after the Dodgers were retired in the 8th with the score 11-9. I knew there was still a pretty good chance the Dodgers would come back but I had to get some sleep.

At least for the sake of some semblance of pitching, the weather will be more like what you'd expect out of Dodger Stadium for Games 6 and 7.

Sunny with a 100% chance of late arriving fans?

Lol, everyone in my office wants Roberts fired. Don't tell Andy McCullough.

do you hate the dodgers as much as the cardinals?

No, but I hate them more than every other team in baseball besides the Cardinals. Dodger fans are insufferable.

Also, today is the one year anniversary of Game 5 of the World Series.

What a glorious time to be alive. I remember thinking after Chapman ended game 5. They really are going to horsefeathering do this

I don't know about fired, but I really wish everyone would stop heaping such praise on him. He does a pretty poor job of managing sometimes. Quite a few games in this series he has left himself with 1 guy in the pen by the 9th inning. I also don't think he deserved to win Manager of the Year last year.

I knew Morrow got lit up but I didn't realize he only threw 6 pitches to 4 batters. First pitch homer, first pitch single, second pitch double, second pitch homer. Edited by soccer10k

Re-watching the game today in the office. Cleveland just made it 3-2 in the top of the 6th. I have no idea how I survived this game, let alone the later parts of Game 7.

I felt way more tense for this game than game 7. I'm not sure I actually breathed for 4 innings straight.

Yeah I was at the game. It was nerve wracking

I was at that game too. I felt fairly calm. I figured I was at least getting see the Cubs in a WS game at Wrigley, no matter what happened. I am really glad I didn't go to game 4.

I like that we have this little rivalry brewing but I fear it getting to the point that I have to worry about my physical well being if I go to a game at D.S.

That's not cool

This game 5 talk reminded me on how great the Verducci book is, and especially the analysis of Game 5.

The talk about how the Cubs couldn't do anything with all the curveballs, and then for some reason KB got a fastball and donged it and Rizzo got one and doubled and then then Zobrist got a 3-0 count which Cleveland's scouting report noted that "He had seen 413 pitches in his career at 3-and-0 and swung at only 11 of them, only 5 of which he actually put into play. He had not had a hit on a 3-and-0 count since September 27, 2013, more than three years before". Bauer grooved a fastball and Zobrist singled.

That book was really good. I think I got thru it in 2 days right when it came out.

As for game 5 I remember that morning ticket prices were dropping. I almost pulled the trigger on a single ticket on Stubhub in UD reserved for like $750, my wife said go but I decided to be responsible. For games 3 and 4 similar tickets I think were between 1500-2000 a ticket.
