i remember posting tweeted pics of correa working out at wrigley before the 2012 draft and some talk about how he was the FO's favorite prospect in that draft. iirc, it was considered a little bit of a surprise that he went #1 and people thought it was more about under slotting.

The underslotting part is true, but he did have incredible helium the last few weeks. Not only did he impress in the Cubs workout, he obviously impressed the Astros and some other team too (the Royals?).
