That was what I took from Torre's comments on TBS. It sounds like they are going to give it another 30 minutes or so and reassess the forecast, which likely won't be any better.

I think so, with Scherzer to either start Game 5 and go as long as he can or come out of the bullpen.

There's no freaking way Max pitches Game 5. Game 5 will be Thursday no matter what. That's 2 days rest with a guy who's hurt already.

That would be his bullpen day, so he absolutely could pitch. Starting is definitely a stretch, but U would expect to see him out of the pen.

If they wanna run Max out there for a few innings on 2 days rest I am in full support of dusty's plan. I'd let Strasburg throw an inning too.

I seriously doubt it. Maybe he could throw 40. MAYBE. They took the dude out after less than 100 pitches up 1-0. Clearly they aren't trying to overexert him.
