i think almora might just be slow enough to make a bunch of catches look really good but not actually have very good range as a CF

I hate to be positive about something, but Floro did a fine job today

 

And as a reward he will likely be sent down after today for a fresh arm.

Edmonds was actually really horsefeathering good defensively before he got old, narratives about intentionally making catches look spectacular aside.

Oh I know, I feel like he probably falls into the category of being a little less athletic/quick as other guys, like you laid out with Almora. He didn't have great speed/range which forced him into having to get extra good jumps/reads and make a lot of running/diving plays.

He always played shallow as hell too and that contributed to the highlight reel nature of a lot of his catches.

Little known fact: the artist who made that sculpture died making it. A large piece of it fell off a wench and severed an artery in his leg. His family, after a long delay, finished the job.
