I went to back-to-back games in 1998 where the Cubs beat Atlanta 4-2 on May 31st, and then destroyed Florida 10-2 on June 1, with Sammy hitting 2 HR's to start his 20 HR June.

My one and only game in the bleachers was a Mark Prior win against the Marlins.

(can't find the boxscore)

Worst game: a game against the Piazza/Mondesi/Karros Dodgers where the Cubs started Anthony Young and he promptly gave up a million home runs:

10/22/16 - Cubs win the pennant. (Third year in a row I saw a team win the pennant: Royals, Mets, Cubs).

10/29/16 - Game 4 of the World Series. Really sucked, but I still got to see a World Series game at Wrigley.

10/7/16 - NLDS Game 1.

10/8/16 - NLDS Game 2.

5/13/96 - First game at Wrigley. My dad taught me how to keep score. Steve Trachsel gave up a lead off double to Brian Hunter. My dad turned to me and said, "there goes the no hitter." That was the only hit the Astros got. Cubs won 6-0.

9/27/15 - My son's first game at Wrigley. Arrieta and Wood combine for a one hitter. Like father like son.

8/26/03 - Cubs with recent additions from the Pirates beat Cardinals at Busch with Mark Prior on the mound. Featured in Three Nights in August.

7/26/05 - Greg Maddux 3000K.

7/27/09 - Soriano walk off grand slam.

8/29/14 - Jorge Soler hit 2 HR for career HR #2 and #3. One of them still has not landed.

9/6/15 - Bryant hits a 495 foot HR. Montero hits a grand slam. All during my dad's surprise 50th birthday trip.

6/9/99 - Cubs lost in Arizona, but Sammy hit one of the longest HR I've ever seen off of Randy Johnson.

10/2/04 - Sammy's last game as a Cub and his franchise record 545th HR.

9/28/15 - Cubs and Royals. 2 teams I love play extras and it ends in a walkoff HR for a postseason tuneup.

8/4/08 - Tornado game where Berkman freaked out.

8/5/95 - First Cubs game I can remember. Cubs beat Cardinals 1-0 at Busch Stadium on a Scott Servais solo HR. I still remember it landing to my right.

10/21/15 - First Cubs postseason game I have attended. Mets win the pennant.

5/6/98 - Haha. Just kidding. But I know someone who was there who had season tickets at the time. They had 4 pristine tickets stubs from that game that Kerry Wood signed for them. They gave me one of them and it's my most prized possession.

Non Cubs

9/30/14 - Leave the Wild Card Game during the Royals comeback because my wife went into labor with our son. Finished watching in the delivery room.

10/15/14 - Royals win the pennant.

8/10/03 - Braves lose to Cardinals, but Rafael Furcal pulled off the 12th unassisted triple play in MLB history.

10/28/14 - Royals win Game 6 of the WS 10-0. Yordano Ventura pitches the game of his life.

10/3/12 - Miguel Cabrera wins the Triple Crown.

6/20/04 - Ken Griffey, Jr. HR #500.

I haven't been to many NFL games (6), but I've been lucky when it comes to seeing history.

11/28/96 - Marcus Allen breaks all time rushing TD record.

12/16/07 - Brett Favre breaks all-time passing yardage record.

i went to the wc game in pittsburgh in 2015. the poor pirates fans were so sure they were going to rattle arrieta. they legitimately believed that he was going to have a bad game because of their chants getting in his head or something. they were also really mad about his tweets.

that was a good night.

There was a game early in the season in I think 2004, Cubs @ Cardinals. A few friends and I decided to get tickets and drive to St. Louis the weekend before finals my 2nd semester of college.

We dtove the 10 hours to get to St. Louis from Norman, OK. Boring, thoroughly unexciting drive.

It rained at the game, a lot, then a bit more. We thought we were gonna drive 20 hours round trip to see a postponed game. But they got it in.

Jim Edmonds struck out in the final AB as a PH in a Cubs win.

The first game I went to Dawson homered. That's all I remember. I think it was 1992.

I went to a game in I think 1994 and sat next to Dave Wannstedt. I was 7 and didn't give a horsefeathers about the Bears at that point. I was more excited about Tuffy Rhodes poster day.

I was at a game in '98 where Sosa and Rodriguez went back to back, or maybe just went yard in the same inning. I was very entertained by the O'Henry bars raining down onto the field.

I was at the Mongo game. That was easily the most memorable. It was hot as horsefeathers and also it was 70s night. I think I watched SportsCenter for like 3 hours when I got home, just to watch highlights over and over.

In '02 I saw Alex Gonzalez walk off the Rangers. I feel like I witnessed another of his walkoffs too, but that might be a false memory.

I was in the bleachers for my 21st birthday in '08 and Jim Edmonds homered. That completed my transition from hating the Edmonds pickup to loving it. The Cubs beat the Braves on a walkoff HBP in 11.

In '09 I was in the bleachers for a game in August where the Cubs beat the piss out of Pittsburgh. I think they scored 18 runs or something. The air and water show was practicing that day. Seemed like at any given moment there was a ball flying into the bleachers or a plane buzzing above and pulling off some crazy stunt.

I was at a game in May of '13 that was only memorable because a got horsefeathers on by a bird and was forced to by my first Cubs shersey in 5 years. It was a tough call between Castro and Rizzo. Luckily my buddy convinced me to go Rizzo.

I went to 5 or 6 games in 2015 and somehow can't separate them from each other. Probably because Lester pitched every single one of them.

I was at the Lester complete game against the Dodgers last year, and the Cubs-Sox game where Russell hit a grand slam and KB and Javy homered. I was sitting by an obnoxious family of Sox fans, and it was wonderful to watch them desperately chanting "2 to nothing" and "Sale tomorrow" as the Cubs kept pouring on. (Spoiler Alert: the Cubs beat Sale.)

I was at the first home game after 9-11 when sammy hit a homer and rounded the bases with the American flag.

I also was on the rooftops when aRamis walked off on the same day rose evicerated the celtics.

I was at an April cubs cards game where barrett hit a grands lam to give the cubs the sweep on sunday night.

I also went to a shitty hot game against the pirates where jason marquis pitched and the cubs lost 3-0.

Saw God-mode Jake hold the Dodgers hitless a few hours after we all discussed the very real possibility he would twirl a no-hitter as we drove to the stadium. They barely got the ball out of the infield all night. Struck out the side to cap it off. Plus we got on TV in the 9th after Rollins called a timeout during Jake's windup and all the Cubs fans booed.

And Bryant laced a shot early on for all the run support needed. Perfect game with all the drama and tension so palpable throughout the stadium.

you got to see the schwarber bomb? that's probably in my top 3 favorite cubs homers ever

OH. I was there when Dawson got rocked in the horsefeathering face. The site of a pain-crazed Dawson furiously staggering around, spewing blood, kinda ruined 8-year-old me to ever stepping into the batter's box again without only thinking I was about to get drilled right in the grill.

There's actually one I like better than that one from the same player in the same week haha

It was horsefeathering wild; Maddux was pitching, Dawson donged, dudes got tossed left and right, Cubs won...that was a crazy game.

I was unbelievably lucky enough to get World Series tickets through the Cubs playoff lottery. It was Game 4, and you know... but as I was sitting in Wrigley with a grin than still hasn't gone away, I was thinking that this was the only game I've been too that really meant anything as far as "Good Cubs Games" go. But to me, every game meant something...

*My first game I stopped with a car full of my dorm stuff. Sat in the bleachers by myself. Cubs won, lead off hitter hit two home runs, my stuff was still in the car when the game got done.

*Sat in the bleachers with Harry

*Played games with Tommy Lasorda and the Dodgers trying to throw a baseball into a bucket to win stuff (I missed)

*Watched Doug Descenzo pitch because we were getting shelled by the Cardinals

*Maddux vs Herschiser - we lost

*Taking dates to Wrigley and knowing if I wanted a next date if she had fun

*Taking my wife to a double header then Harry Carrays for a late dinner on our honeymoon and knowing that I struck gold

*Taking my daughters to a game and still smiling when I see the picture of all of us there

I will be at Coors Field to watch the Cubs in May, and in Wrigley in June. I know they will all leave me smiling.

:good:

Been to two Cubs playoff games in LA - Game 5 of the 2016 NLCS and the far less enjoyable Game 3 of the 2008 NLDS. Non-Cubs but I went to Game 2 of the 2002 World Series in Anaheim, which was a very entertaining 11-10 Angels win.

Memorable regular season games:

The Bryant 2 HR game in LA this past August.

Saw Sosa hit 2 HRs in 2003 in LA when Prior threw a CG in his second start off the DL after the Marcus Giles collision.

This 9-6 Cubs win in Arizona in 2015 was memorable, partly because my wife double barrel flicked off Arizona fans who were talking horsefeathers most of the game as they left early when Rizzo hit the go-ahead HR in the 9th.

I also went to the last 2 Cubs season openers (Wrigley and Anaheim). Man, Wrigley looked weird without the bleachers to start the 2015 season. And the stupid bathrooms.

That game is my first "Cubs on TV" memory, and is probably the reason Dawson is my favorite Cub of all time.

My earliest Cubs game memory is my grandparents 50th anniversary celebration being at Wrigley. No memory of the game, but it was June 1993.

Random Tuesday in June 2002 where Alex Gonzales hit a walk off HR.

Stupid one pitch Rich Hill and the lead off HR by Chris young in NLDS game 3 2007.

May 14th 2012 when I took my daughter to her first game ever. Cubs beat the Cards at Busch.

Game 5 of the 2016 WS. Nuff said.

The only meaningful Cubs game I've ever been to was Sosa's 600th home run.

I saw them beat the Reds in 2000 at Wrigley

I saw them lose like 17 times in a row in st louis

I saw them lose three times in texas

I saw them get shut out by chris sale in a game started by DAN horsefeathering HAREN.

Yep. I can't remember who served it up, but on the very next pitch he also gave up a dong to superstar frank catalanatto.

I would've loved to get some odds in 2002 or thereabouts on the possibility of Sammy Sosa hitting his 600th against the Cubs off a guy wearing his number.

I went to Juan Cruz' first career win vs St.L in 2001 Sammy hit 2 bombs and Bobby Bo got tossed .

In 2007 I went to 3 games in 24 hours:

Cubs @ Brewers- My friend who's a Cards fan was with. He cheered for the Cubs since the Cards were behind the Brewers and some lady called him a closet Cubs fan. Then her husband said my friend was cheering for the since the Cards were in 2nd behind the Brewers. They got in a huge fight and left in the 3rd inning. Cubs lost.

Cubs @ Brewers again. Pie homers and Cubs win.

Yanks @ Wsox- Drove from Milwaukee to Chicago and caught the night game.

In 2008 I went to the middle 2 games of the 4 game sweep @ Milwaukee.

In 2015 I went to the Cubs vs White Sox game Arrieta CG and hit a dong.
