Every time I think I miss more games being on WGN, I actually watch something on WGN and come to my senses.

For all it's warts, CSN does a pretty darn good job covering Chicago sports. Better than WGN ever did.

This montage they're showing on MLBN is awesome. I hope this gets uploaded to YouTube.

The camera work on the Javy HR was particularly awesome.

Has this been posted anywhere yet? It was excellent.

Even though we will probably be rather quiet in FA it is pretty sweet knowing that we are the marquee destination and players will be praying to go to us

It'll be quiet because the market sucks but I'm fascinated with the trade market this year.

Rally was a little quieter than I anticipated but I don't know that it could've been big enough for me to be surprised.

It got legit dusty in my office when Rizzo started losing it. I have 6 or 7 favorites on this team but I think Rizzo is the big one.

I know STL fans think our love for David Ross is ridiculous, and were the roles reversed I'd be leading the brigade, but I will love that guy forever.

I keep trying to think about off-season plans and Jay Cutler don't caaaaare forces itself into my mind and World Series highlights start playing

The TV coverage just sucked.

I didn't mean literally quieter, although that was definitely true. I had the WGN stream on and even though it was pretty awful, since I was at work on a crap computer I wasn't going to switch and risk missing anything

Watching game 7 replay on MLB network.

Monty got up in the bullpen in the 3rd when Kyle was in minor trouble and closed the WS in the 10th.

Random but awesome.

Seriously, I'll be excited to watch these guys next year but the best part of winning it is not having to stress about the day-to-day.

Same mostly. Part of it is we don't need much/FA class sucks and the other part is like the guys I have interest in are like Derek Holland (Rangers declined his option) and his ilk for spare pitching/bullpen parts. So not much to get excited about/plan for and just wait to see if we re-sign Chapman/Fowler and/or wait for a holy horsefeathers Theo crazy trade. Other than that it's FA spare parts, which yay we need, but it's not worth really diving into/trying to figure out.

That's been my thought today. I'm sure I"ll still stress when the Cubs are in the playoffs next year but I won't have that burden of not having a Championship in 100+ years.

nah i want a horsefeathers dynasty

plus we still have to win a chip at wrigley

So do I of course, but I think the watching experience will be different for me. I literally thought I was going to throw up during game 7 when Chapman blew it.

I have a favor to ask...I was on the Cubs Wikipedia page and under "other nicknames " - the name "The lovable losers" is there. Can someone go in and edit/delete that?

I've never done it on Wikipedia and thought someone here might know how to do it. Thanks.

I didn't stress much this yeat side from the rough patch pre all star break and the playoffs of course. This year just always felt different.
