Tickets for SRO game 7 are $1300 on Stub Hub right now. I would have to think buying them now is the best bet, to see the Cubs win the WS. If the Cubs force game 7 I would have to imagine the prices skyrocket.

Plan would be to call in sick tomorrow, leave Chicago around 10am, then leave the game around 1am Eastern to be back home between 6-7 Central time for work Thursday.

One problem with that strategy. If it doesn't happen, then you probably only get a refund for face value.

My gf and I were planning on going to dinner tonight to celebrate our anniversary. Originally, she suggested going early so I could watch the whole game, but I just got a text from her saying she wanted to veg on the couch and have a World Series night at home and, get this, make deluxe nachos!!!!! No prompting from me and she has no idea about the lucky game day nachos. Not all Cardinals fans are terrible people.

So you picking up the engagement ring on the way home or in the morning?

Win tonight so I can have that miserable feeling all day tomorrow.

Wouldnt be an excited nervous feeling if we win, and a miserable feeling if we lose?

I don't post here much -- just a lurker really, but thought I'd give my opinion on this game.

I seem to have a bad feeling about this game. Really really hope I'm wrong and that we can keep our season alive, but I just don't see it happening tonight.

I have a good, rather great feeling I will be unleashed tonight in all my glory. I really hope I'm not wrong, in fact I know I won't be wrong. I see it happening.

What even possesses people to make posts like that? We all get these feelings (good and bad) but I have no idea why anyone thinks it's something worth communicating to anyone else other than to say "yeah, i'm nervous"

mainly it frustrates me because he/she has close to a 50% chance of being right and then will be like I KNEW IT

I've been good all day, starting to get nervous now. A crooked number in the first would be outstanding. I'm thinking Fowler gets us going tonight.

while still technically possible, I was pretty sure Schwarber was going to hit a 3 run dong in the 1st, if he does we're in great shape.

That's roughly the median outcome on my 1st inning offensive expectancy chart for tonight. 8-)

More nervous now than I have been any game in this series. I think it's because when you fall down 3-1, while you still think your team can win, you can't help but ramp down the emotional intensity and at least least to some degree prepare for potential disappointment. Now we are at a point where we are still big dogs in the series but know everything becomes a lot more realistic if you can just take this game.

Playoff and World Series baseball has been exhausting/amazing. The next off day is the first of ~150, but two more games to win first.

I was a nervous wreck during the latter portions of game 5 because I really felt like (and still do) we had a really damn good chance of getting this thing if we pulled it off.

My Internet went out last Friday for no good reason. I was already buying an OTA antenna to watch today because Fox Sports Go on my Roku is hog crap, so thank God it came in today and thank God FOX is the 1 out of the 4 major networks whose signal I can actually get OTA.

i'll be nervous as heck during the game, but i can't tell you how excited i am for this. as we all know, there's unfortunately a damn good chance that this year ends tonight without a title. but damnit if this isn't my favorite team, in any sport, ever. but it's November 1st and my favorite team needs two wins to win the horsefeathers world horsefeathers series.

I'm just glad that I'm really busy today and tomorrow from morning until first pitch. Game 3 and 4 were terrible due to waiting all day with nothing to do

Also for the losing
