I'm in "happy to be here, probably going to lose the series but oh well this is cool" mode tonight. I'll completely lose it before a game 7 though.

The entire series has been identical for me.

Pregame: "eh, if they lose it happens, I like their odds but baseball, etc"

The moment the Cubs give up a hit or make an out: "come on you idiots I am DYING here"

i'm basically on edge as soon as the game starts...then i relax at the first good play we have. then if we are losing i actually WANT to be dying.

The moment we have a lead I start playing count the outs and then I realize there's like 21 at least and I want the sweet release of death

I haven't more confident about the Cubs chances of winning a game all season. Not quite sure why I feel this way, but why ruin it with negativity?

I've generally been calm leading up to these games, but when they start, it's just so unsettling to know that if you trail after 4 innings, you're basically done. Playing against a team constructed this way is so frustrating.

Please be awesome, Jake.

I start to feel comfortable when the Cubs can trade runs for outs and still win. So when I was at game 6 I was freaking out when Joe brought in Chapman, and then confident in victory two pitches later.

I was already buying an OTA antenna to watch today because Fox Sports Go on my Roku is hog crap

You're not the only one. Unfortunately I live in a dead zone for antenna. Had to stop by Comcast in person, pick up the box, and futz with all the wires and plugins.

With tech support from the Philippines. Worked -- eventually.

My quick World Series story. Flew from California and picked up a single on Saturday. Got into the park and recognized the guy next to me. Ended out being Paul Bako, Gledon Rusch, and Todd Wellemeyer. Even though we lost it was extremely cool to talk baseball with them through the game. Really great guys.

Back to the game. I am feeling that something very special is coming. The best post I saw the other day was someone saying that this Indians team was built for a sprint. The fact that they didn't put us away on Sunday was very bad for the Indians. Just wish we won that damn game on Friday.

I've discovered that if you get hung up on every play going your way - every pitch to the Cubs you either want called a ball or to be a meatball down the middle, every ball in play you want to be a hit, every ball in play the opponents hit you want to be an out... there are so many of these plays in baseball that you'll only make yourself miserable.

Easier said than done, I know.

I don't post here much -- just a lurker really, but thought I'd give my opinion on this game.

I seem to have a bad feeling about this game. Really really hope I'm wrong and that we can keep our season alive, but I just don't see it happening tonight.

Appreciate you joining us, but seems kind of strange to go out of your way to bring negativity to the thread.

I'm really looking forward to watching Lindor and Kluber play for the Cubs next season after we win this series.

That's how the post-season works, right? That's what happened last year.
