Roll Call: Who is going to be in Chicago for the World Series?

I'm playing it by ear also. Probably a long-shot, but I could drive there Saturday morning and be there in plenty of time for the game (though I won't dream of getting a ticket). I also entered a drawing to win a trip for 4 to games 4 and 5.

I have a few friends who are opting to go to Cleveland, just because the tickets are so much easier to get. I'm not sure how I'll make it work getting to Chicago, but I will most certainly be there at some point. Won't sell any kids on the black market to pay for tickets, but I'll be down to meet as many NSBBers as I can find.

I will be there all weekend. Have tickets for Game 4. Wife is trying to coax me into buying tickets for Games 3 and 5 with the money I've made off of selling our good seats for Game 5.

Going to Cleveland would definitely be much easier for me. 2 hour drive vs. almost 8. But it's during the week and I have a busy week at work this week. Best case would be a Game 6 or 7 next week.

I have not received a confirmation e-mail yet (positive or negative) for the World Series postseason opportunity, and I have for the NLDS and NLCS. I'm assuming that they haven't sent it out yet.

 

Also, it's even more of a long shot (since there is only 1 winner), but there is a sweepstakes through MLB to win a prize package for four game 4 tickets, round trip airfare, and hotel accommodations. The link is earlier in the post.

FYI, the cheapest non-SRO seats on StubHub for Game 1 in Cleveland are $1045/each. Cheapest non-SRO for Game 3 in Chicago are $2800/each

I think I'm flying in Friday from Louisville. If not, I'll be driving Saturday or Sunday, depending on where the series stands. No tickets, no place to stay... hell, no real plan beyond that. I just have to be there.
